Yes. Our hot solar showers solar are backed up by fossil fuels if neccessary, so that you can always have a hot shower.
Do you serve vegetarian food?
Yes. Our kitchens are vegetarian,
What is your affiliation with Maharishi University of Management?
Big Green Summer is not affiliated with Maharishi Univeristy of Management (MUM). Some of our faculty are affiliated with MUM. For example, Big Green Summer founder Lonnie Gamble is also a founding faculty member in the four year degree program in sustainable living offered by MUM (see http://www.mum.edu/sustainable_living for more information this program).
I read about international internships on the 2006 web site. What is the status of international internship opportunities?
Other than a few special cases, we've decided not to pursue international internships. There are infintite opportunities here in our own back yard. Check out our sister organization The Wilder Institute (http://www.permaculturenow.com/)for opportunities in Central America.
